It's a common stereotype that we camels all love Wednesdays. I guess you people assume that because you call it "hump day," somehow we think of it as "our" day. But I'm just going to come right out and say it: I don't really care for Wednesdays. That's right. Not a Wednesday guy. At all.
Like, Friday? Great. Saturday, obviously. Even Thursday's cool. But Wednesday's best feature is that it's the middle of the work week. Ooooooooh, big woop! (That was camel sarcasm, by the way.) No, thanks. Let the rhinos have that day. We'll take a cool weekend day.
Also, it's kind of demeaning. I'm more than just a hump, you know? I can go for over a week without water. I have flexible lips that allow me to eat vegetation from thorny plants that other animals have to avoid. I'm also an avid painter.
So maybe think twice the next time you're about to tell a camel: "I'll bet you love Wednesdays!"
