About this product
"Lincolne" is already catching flak from critics who accuse it of playing with history. In one controversial scene, Robert E. Lee surrenders to Lincolne after waking up to find the severed head of his beloved horse. Also disputed is the scene in which Lincolne's son, Roberto, arranges a meeting with John Wilkes Booth and Jefferson Davis in a restaurant, then shoots them both dead. (For some reason, Booth is also referred to as "The Turk.")
While critics are panning the film, moviegoers seem to like it. "While I'm pretty sure the Battle of Gettysburg didn't involve Tommy Guns, I still really liked this movie," said one viewer. "It was way more exciting than that other movie."
