Admittedly it's not as pithy as "white boy summer." But what it lacks in brevity it makes up for in inclusiveness. Like, why are we assuming the summer's gender? Did anyone even think to ask what its pronouns are? And how do we know what race it is? Did it fill out a census form?
Come to think of it, how do we even know it identifies as a summer? Maybe it identifies as a fall -- or even a slushy winter. Maybe it's a goth summer. Hmm, goth Summer. Has anyone claimed that hashtag yet? (Make a note of that for next year.)
